What We Do
About us
Young Professionals of Minneapolis is both a personal and professional development organization. We are a network of aspiring leaders working together to be the best version of ourselves. YPM is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with a mission to create economic equity within the Greater MSP community by shaping young professionals to be well-rounded. We keep our opportunities accessible, in order to provide equal access to resources. YPM hosts 3-5 events a month focused on professional development, social networking, and community involvement. Our goal is to empower young professionals to be leaders. We do so by creating memorable experiences that encourage our members to be inclusive, socially aware, impactful, innovative, and focused on mentoring others to do the same. With over 50 social networking, community service, and professional development events each year, YPM is committed to elevating the experiences of young professionals who live, work, and thrive in the Twin Cities. Our Values
Professional Development
As young professionals, it seems obvious that professional development is important to us as members, but we take it one step further with our events. Allowing our members to interact with core stakeholders around the Minneapolis-Saint Paul Area, along with workshops, and experiences focused on growth.
Social Networking
We’ve heard the phrase, it’s not what you know, but who you know. We take this seriously to ensure that all of our members have the proper network to help them succeed in their careers. Introducing young professionals to each other and other leaders in our community to create a strong network.
Community Involvement
Doing good within the Minneapolis-Saint Paul area is a goal of ours, and we make sure that not only are we getting involved, but we learn about the systemic problems in our community. Backed by our partners and members, we’re able to invest our time, money, and resources into local causes.
