Many young professionals are eager to get promoted but often times don't realize that managing people requires a totally different skillset from their individual contributor role. Without proper training, experience, and coaching, a newly appointed manager is not set up for success and runs the risk of negatively impacting everyone on their team. For this event, we'll learn some tips about how to tailor your own leadership development to where you are in your career and also hear some stories from other emerging leaders about how they were (or were not) prepared for management.
